About Our Club

Swimming with the Edmonton AquaMasters can involve learning basic to advanced Synchro skills, improving general swimming techniques and fitness levels, and developing recreational and competitive routines.  Opportunities are available for all levels of swimmers to participate.  Currently the AquaMasters have 28 members ranging in age from 18-65 and experience from first time recreational swimmers to competitive swimmers with over 20 years experience.

Synchro History

Masters synchronized swimming in Edmonton began in the mid 1980’s with a group of 10 women training at the YMCA.  The first major competition attended was the World Masters Games in Toronto in 1985.  Over the years our numbers have blossomed, and Edmonton swimmers have had outstanding results with numerous medal winning performances at provincial, national, and international competitions.  Teams have competed at World Masters Games  in Toronto, Denmark and Edmonton, and World Aquatic Masters Games in England, Montreal, Italy, and San Francisco.
